Helping You Decide
There have been many different models of iPhone over the years, and two of the most popular are the iPhone 13 and the iPhone 15.
Both are great models with so much to offer, but what changed from the 13 to the 15 and which one of them gives you better value for money? As a leading refurbished iPhone 13 and 15 stockist, we are ideally placed to answer that question. Here is everything you need to know about the two phones, allowing you to make a truly informed choice.
Battery and Charging
Just as you would expect from phones that were released two years apart, the iPhone 15 boasts some developments from the iPhone 13. One of those most obvious is the charging port. Gone is the Lightning Port and in is the USB-C charging port. This is due to the EU ruling that all new handheld electronics sold in the EU needed to have a USB-C charging port. This aimed to cut electronics waste.
Of course, another way of cutting electronic waste is to buy an iPhone 13 refurbished by us! In terms of battery life, the iPhone 13 still performs pretty well. If you are looking for a phone that can stand up to average daily use, it will serve you well. Of course, you can expect a jump in battery life with the iPhone 15, making it ideal for those who want to go longer between charges.
Camera
If you love to take photos and videos with your phone, then the iPhone 15 is going to be the model for you. It’s amazing how much the camera specs have progressed in just two years, going from a 12mp camera for the iPhone 13 to an amazing 47mp for the 15. Of course, if you aren’t much of a photographer and are happy to just take the occasional snap, then the lower price point of the iPhone 13 may be a big draw.
Performance
The iPhone 13 is powered by the Apple Silicon A15 Bionic chipset. This means that it can handle everything from checking your emails to gaming.
The iPhone 15, on the other hand, comes with the A16 Bionic chip, and it is this that shows how much an iPhone’s performance has come along in two years.
Remember how Dynamic Island was limited to Pro models leading up to the iPhone 15? Well, it is a core feature of the base model, making it accessible to many more users.
Appearance
The iPhone 13 ticks all the boxes when it comes to classic Apple design. It’s sleek and understated, with curved edges and an edge-to-edge screen. It also comes in a wide range of colours, and we always aim to have a good selection in stock!
The iPhone 15 shares all of those same style hallmarks but has a back made from infused glass with a matte finish. This makes it much less likely to show any fingerprints.
Which One is Better Value?
This depends on your needs and your budget. Being an older model, an iPhone 13 refurbished by our team is going to cost less than an iPhone 15. So if you have less to spend in the first place, then that might be the option for you. You should also consider what you get for your money, though.
A refurbished iPhone 15 is going to have all of those newer features we have just spoken about, but will cost much less than buying one brand new.
